Amanda E. Biden has
been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
Amanda was born on
Vancouver Island and grew up in Clearbrook, BC. She moved often
growing up, living in Nakusp, Langley, Abbotsford, and even as
far as Regina, Sask.
She has been writing
stories, poems and journals her whole life. She has written poems
for a couple of anthology books. Amanda has written a few eulogies
that ministers and priests have used in their services. She has
also had articles written in various local newspapers.
Amanda has one flaw
in her writing-a knack for greeting cards. Many friends and family
members have received greeting cards tailored to their special
event.
When she needs a break
from writing, she is painting, reading, playing video games or
camping with her family.
Currently, Amanda is
attending UCFV, for further studies in creative writing, poetry
and drama. She attends Ram’s Head Writer’s Group weekly
and her writing has already benefited from being a part of the
Ram’s Head group; she is thankful to be a part of something
bigger than her tiny room and white computer.
She hopes to write
children’s stories in the future and to one day finish the
novel she started 2 years ago.
