In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

Our webmaster, Sonny Hatton is a Captain in the Royal Canadian Artillery. He has many friends who are serving in Afghanistan, or have recently returned from Afghanistan. Here are the stories of two of them:

Captain Nichola Goddard

(Nichola Goddard was killed in action on May 17th, 2006)

Captain Andew Charchuk

(Andrew Charchuk replaced Nichola in Afghanistan and returned home safely in September 2006)

Maple Leafs, by Jim McGregor is a tribute to our soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
